The Mizzou College Democrats are a group of students, bound together by Democratic values, who work together to promote a more free and equitable America.  Our mission is to promote progressive politics and good governance and to serve as a resource for students interested in political engagement. We represent the principles of the Democratic Party, encourage healthy discourse, and active participation in civic life.

Our members come from every interest area and are very involved on campus, participating in Greek life, student government, religious organizations, and other student organizations. Members have also interned for the Missouri Legislature, Congress, the State Department, the FBI, and major campaigns. Our alumni include law students, political figures, scientists, and all around good people.

Coming together from a  variety of backgrounds and experiences, the executive board is the backbone of Mizzou College Democrats. Their ideas help shape the direction and mission of the organization as it continues to develop.

Jeffrey Bittle is a senior from Cape Girardeau, Missouri studying political science and communication here at Mizzou. Among other issues, he feels most passionately about environmental justice, single-payer healthcare, the right to unionize, and anti-corruption measures. Jeffrey’s hobbies include biking, enjoying nature, and experiencing new people and places. He especially loves visiting state parks and walking along the Mississippi River. Someday, he’d love to run for public office, but he doesn’t quite know what his life will look like in the meantime. Aside from being President of the Mizzou chapter, Jeffrey is the President of the College Democrats of Missouri, and he enjoys volunteering for progressive candidates and causes whenever possible.

Vice President
Della Rodenbaugh is a sophomore from Hannibal, MO majoring in English and Ancient Mediterranean Studies and minoring in History. Outside of Mizzou Democrats she enjoys reading, music, and napping. She is enthusiastic about women’s rights, public education, and rural issues. After graduation Della plans to travel and attend graduate school.

Here in America, we don't let our differences tear us apart. Not here. Because we know that our greatness comes from when we appreciate each other's strengths, when we learn from each other, when we lean on each other, because in this country, it's never been each person for themselves. No, we're all in this together. We always have been.
